A farm equipment business based out of Elie, Man. received the 2013 Long Term Achievement Business - Rural Award by the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce last week.
The Chambers noted Chabot Implements' goals of providing excellent customer service and excellent career opportunities.
“We have been successful because of our loyal and dedicated employees who work hard every day to make us what were are,” said Bernie Chabot, dealer principal of the Elie branch.
“It’s been our many loyal customers who have made it possible for us to survive and thrive all of these years.”
Chabot Implements started off at the Chabot Farm in St. Eustache, Man., by Charlie Chabot in 1935. The business was later moved to Elie and passed on to his son Maurice and wife Eveline.
Three generations later Bernie and Gilles Chabot have expanded the business, adding three more stores in Steinbach, Portage la Prairie and Neepawa.
