Dan Zinkand has joined Farm Equipment magazine as associate editor. He will also serve as managing editor of Lessiter Publications' No-Till Farmer and Conservation Tillage publications.

Zinkand was a crops editor at Iowa Farmer Today for 10 years before working as a freelancer for several ag publications and as an international ag tour manager.

According to company officials, the addition of Zinkand in this newly created position is a sign of the continued growth of the publications and the importance the company places on maintaining the company's high editorial standards.

Farm Equipment is the leading magazine reaching more than 11,500 agricultural equipment dealers, wholesalers and manufacturers' representatives across North America. The publication focuses on providing the best practices and ideas from industry experts to bring successful strategies for dealers.

No-Till Farmer and its sister publication, Conservation Tillage Guide, is a paid-subscription publication that reaches 7,000 farmers interested in learning more about how to no-till, strip-till or manage other conservation-tillage techniques.

No-Till Farmer also plans and organizes the National No-Tillage Conference (www.NoTillConference.com), which will be held Jan. 13-16 in Des Moines, Iowa.
