Chinese-based tractor manufacturer YTO Group has established a North American office in Peru, Indiana.

To be known as YTO North America, the company is a subsidiary of Rasmussen Equipment (an ag and construction dealer in Peru, Ind.). YTO North America will have responsibility for distributing tractors to equipment dealers throughout the Midwest and Canada.

For the American market, 21 tractor models with YTO engines will be available in the 30-90 horsepower range, and another 9 with Perkins Engines in the 80-125 horsepower.

According to a news release, YTO Group is a comprehensive machine-building company with factories, subsidiaries and representatives offices throughout the world. YTO Group has built tractor assembly factories, sales centers, spare parts centers, and solely-funded and joint ventures in 19 countries, including operations in Africa, South America, Europe, and Asia.

According to Michael Rasmussen, YTO North America, YTO has supplied more than 2 million tractors worldwide and is ready to focus on the American market. "We're currently in the process of looking for dealers interested in selling and stocking the YTO tractor brand," he says of his firm's designation as YTO North America. He adds that the firm is working with Accord financial for dealer floorplanning, and will be hosting a meeting in November for potential dealers.
