Sukup Manufacturing Co. has announced the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Clear Lake, Iowa, according to a February 17th article from the Des Moines Register. The company also said that it will hiring about 25 people for the new operation. The goal is to increase production of the company's grain drying systems in an attempt to meet the growing demand from customers. 

In 2021, Sukup purchased one of its competitors, Global Fabrication, known for making catwalks, towers and other structural products that are invovled with the production of storage facilities and grain bins. Sukup also makes grain handling equipment and steel buildings along with their grain bins. 

Altogether with the new northern Iowa location, Sukup will employ roughly 550 people. This year marks the company's 60th anniversary.
