According to a report from Quad-City Times, Deere is planning to pause production at its Davenport and Dubuque facilities on May 11, with a plan to reopen on May 26.
A statement from the company said, "The temporary suspension is due to supply chain disruptions and weakened demand of construction and forestry equipment amidst the COVID-19 global health crisis."
This announcement follows a separate announcement that Deere would layoff over 159 employees from the company's Dubuque Works location. These employees received notice on April 28 that they'd be placed on indefinite leave starting June 1.
