Whether it’s a narrowly-spaced tree grove, gently-sloped ground near a pond or stream or wide-open pasture, the diverse Rotary Cutter line from Great Plains is equipped to tackle everything from standing residue in row-crop fields to weeds and brush in overrun pastures. Great Plains offers two- and three-blade, multi-spindle cutters in both rigid and folding models. Working widths span 8-20 feet and models range from standard-duty to extra heavy-duty, with pull-type and 3-point options on 8 and 10 foot models. Additionally, both 540 and 1,000 rpm drive models are offered to match a variety and range of horsepower. Offset models are also available.
Trailing units are available with a choice of equal-angle or constant-velocity drivelines, along with multiple axle and tire options to fit all conditions. An optional constant-velocity driveline hooked to a large, heavy gearbox can cut brush up to 4 inches in diameter. The flat-top deck design reduces the accumulation of material on top of the deck, minimizing the need for frequent cleaning. Safety shield options include both chain and double-chain guards.
