Beard Implement Co., a Case IH, New Holland and Kubota dealer based out of Arenzville, Ill., announced it is opening new locations in Hannibal, Mo. And Pittsfield, Ill., reports The Journal Courier. The dealership will divide its Barry, Ill., store personnel and operations between a new Pittsfield, Ill., location and Hannibal, Mo.
According to the report,
Beard Implement has bought 11 acres on the west side of Hannibal at the former location of a recreational vehicle dealership. The Hannibal site is 2 miles north of U.S. 36 on U.S. 24.
The Hannibal business will be strictly a Case IH dealership and will open in time for fall harvest, Gerry and Jeremy Beard said.
The company has hired a technician for the Hannibal dealership and the other eight employees will come from the Barry dealership, which will close this fall.
Half of the Barry employees will transfer to the Hannibal dealership and the others will go to Beard Implement’s new Pittsfield location.
At Pittsfield, the company is constructing and remodeling a building a mile west of its current location.
Gerry Beard said the Pittsfield move will expand the company’s facilities from a 5,000-square-foot building to a 31,000-square-foot structure.
The new Pittsfield dealership is adding Case IH equipment to its existing lines of New Holland and Kubota equipment.
