The Agricultural Division of Alamo Group Inc. has announced that Charlie Deckler has been named president of Alamo Group (IA) Inc., including the Herschel Ag Parts and CT Farm & Country brands. 

In announcing the appointment, Rick Raborn, executive vice president of Alamo Group stated, “135 years of history have given Herschel a lot of product experience. What is remarkably clear, however, is that our tillage, planting, cutting and harvesting products for production agriculture are what have made this company a success. Herschel is embarking on an intense new focus on these core product families and we are thrilled to have Charlie Deckler on board to lead those efforts."

A 12-year veteran of Alamo Group, Deckler was general manager of Herschel and Alamo (IA) for 7 years beginning in 2007. His most recent position has been as national sales manager of Alamo's Rhino Ag brand. "It's great to be back at Herschel,” said Deckler. "We've got a great team and an exciting future. I'm looking forward to working closely with our customers, dealers and suppliers as we tackle some new opportunities. "
