MANKATO, Minn. – Hiniker Co. has introduced new cover crop seeding equipment, including three sizes of hoppers and metering systems. Hoppers and metering systems are constructed of corrosion resistant #201 and #304 stainless steel and are available in 20-, 30- and 40-cubic-feet sizes. Metering drive choices include ground drive, variable rate hydraulic and variable rate electric. Metering uses hydraulically driven fans and features 24 and 36 outlet sizes.

Hopper and metering units for broadcast seeding are available with mounting kits for use on various, popular tillage equipment. For growers in areas with shorter growing seasons and colder temperatures, Hiniker also offers a 3-point-mounted toolbar/row unit combination “interseeder” for the precise placement of cover crops into standing corn crops in spring or early summer. Tool bar sizes from 15-40 feet are available.
