HARRISTOWN, Ill. – Jenner Ag has presented its 2016 Ag Scholarships to two deserving students pursuing ag careers.
“It’s our honor to help Illinois and Indiana students further their education and their agriculture careers with these scholarships,” says Steve Jones, President of Jenner Ag.
2016 scholarship recipients are Drake Davis of Crawfordsville, Indiana, and Clayton Walker of Oakwood, Illinois.
A student at Parkland College, Davis plans to pursue a career with a Case IH dealer. His goal is to “advance to the dealership where I will work and continue my education as a Master Technician.”
A recent graduate of Oakwood High School, Walker will attend Danville Area Community College in the Pathway to U of I program, where he plans to study crop sciences.
This is the 6th year Jenner Ag has offered aspiring ag students in Illinois and Indiana the opportunity to earn support toward their ag degrees. Scholarship amounts vary each year; for 2016, two $1,000 scholarships were available. Ag students from their high school senior year up to their college junior year can apply for assistance furthering their education in an agriculture degree program.
Applications are available online at www.jennerag.com or through any Jenner employee and must be postmarked by June 30 of each year. Scholarships are typically awarded by August of the same year.
