Orthman introduced two fertilizer placement tools, the 3LP and 3AP Fertilizer Applicators for liquid and dry fertilizer application. Designed to avoid breakage and daily maintenance, the applicators’ main pivot points are greaseless composite bushings, and the rubberized compression springs are resistant to corrosion and fertilizer. They also feature a fully integrated, sealed-for-life hub and bearing system, so growers never have to grease it.

The applicators are able to go from a 12-row sidedress machine to 16 rows on the go. New narrow-transport configurations for the applicators will be available this fall.
