WS Whites Ag Sales and Service Ltd. And Morris Sales and Service Ltd.-Yorkton announced this week Whites Ag’s acquisition of Morris Sales and Service’s Yorkton dealership. The sale is expected to close on July 16, 2012. Whites Ag intends to maintain the same customer focus and retain the existing employees of Morris. As a commitment to their customers, Whites Ag will perform a massive renovation as well as a large capital expansion that will include a large service shop.
“The addition of the second location is a direct result of our focused product support and dedication to the success of our customers” says Walter White, dealer principal. “While we are expanding we will proudly continue to be independently owned and operated. This gives us the flexibility to make decisions that best fit the needs of our customers. And finally, it is an honor to be able to do business in the heart of the parkland.”
Whites Ag will continue to represent all the existing lines Morris Sales and Service Ltd-Yorkton currently distributes. In addition to the existing lines, Whites Ag will add the premium product lines of Challenger, Massey Ferguson, RoGator, TerraGator, Spray Coupe and Willmar. With the addition of these products, Whites Ag now offers a full line of ag equipment from their current two locations, Whitewood and now Yorkton.
“We believe this sale represents a way for farmers to grow and succeed,” says Morris CEO Casey Davis. “The WS White’s dealership will offer a full line of equipment that will include tractors and harvest equipment as well as seeders.”
Morris COO Don Henry says the arrangement is beneficial to all parties involved – White Ag’s, Morris’ and the customers. “Customers will benefit from access to an expanded full-line dealership, including service across more products and further business in the community,” he says.
Davis says that the sale will also benefit the Morris equipment line. “White’s is a specialist in retail, and this expertise will enhance marketing opportunities for our product line,” he says. “This realignment is a natural fit for Morris Industries as we continue to add value for our customers.”
“WS White’s is a great organization,” Henry adds. “I know they’ll service the community well.”
There are no plans to sell the Morris Sales and Service dealership in Virden, Manitoba.
