In the latest text poll from Farm Equipment, a majority of dealers (52.6%) felt New Holland President Carlo Lambro's comments at this year's Farm Progress show about removing shortlines from its dealer network would have no impact on the industry. Only 10.6% of dealers thought there would be any immediate impact from this news.
At this year’s Farm Progress Show, New Holland Brand President Carlo Lambro told Farm Equipment the company is looking to remove several other manufacturer brands from its dealer network in the future to “clean” the network as much as possible. This will be part of a larger plan to revitalize the North American New Holland network. He said that, as a first step, it is looking at removing OEMs with equipment that competes with New Holland’s own products.
