Ahead of National Small Business Week (NSBW), the U.S. Small Business Administration has announced this year’s Small Business Person(s) of the Year winners – over 50 outstanding small business owners and entrepreneurs from across the United States, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Matthew and Jesse Faul, owners of Red E LLC, have been selected as North Dakota's 2023 Small Business Person(s) of the Year.“With all the great businesses in North Dakota to choose from, we are humbled and honored to be selected for such an award,” said Matthew Faul, Founder and President of Red E LLC, a Fargo-based company. “The local Fargo-Moorhead community, the state of North Dakota, and the entire region has been a great place to live and have a business. We have certainly put in a lot of hard work, but the credit goes to the good Lord and the many people who have invested in us from the beginning." Matthew started his career as a Project Engineer for Amity Technology before founding Red E as an engineering services firm in 2012. Jesse Faul, Matthew’s twin brother, joined Red E as Vice President in 2015 after working for John Deere as a Manufacturing Engineer. Together, they’ve grown Red E into a leader of high-quality aftermarket parts and service for John Deere, CNH Industrial (Case IH, New Holland, Flexi-Coil), and other North American air seeding equipment. Red E also achieved number 923 out of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. according to Inc. 5000 in 2021.
Each year, the SBA celebrates National Small Business Week by recognizing the achievements of outstanding small business owners and entrepreneurs across the United States. All NSBW winners will be recognized during the National Small Business Week awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., on April 30 and May 1, 2023.
