Farm Equipment editors encounter a variety of articles, social media posts, podcasts and videos that offer a unique look at various aspects of our great farm machinery industry. Here is our favorite content from the past week from across the web:

Another Ambulance Purchase for Ohio Equipment Dealer

A couple months ago, we used this space to show you Fennig Equipment’s converted ambulance as service truck. With his techs increasingly fighting over who gets to take the ambulance, Adam Fennig bought another used ambulance for his growing business. For the cost, space for parts/tool storage and working conditions, ambulances can't be beat for service vehicles, he says. Fennig will walk fellow ag equipment dealers through his 2 converted ambulances in a just-added classroom at the Dealership Minds Summit later this month in Iowa City.

Equipment Dealer Tim Brannon: Musings on Milan No-Till Field Day

Tennessee dealer-principal Tim Brannon (B&G Equipment) recalls his decades of battling the sun while working the Milan No-Till Field Day, which is taking place later this month in Tennessee. With the 60th anniversary of both the commercial no-till practice and the UT ag Research Statuon at Milan, Brannon delivers an entertaining perspective as Allis-Chalmers (A-C) territory rep and later as a dealer participant at the event, including his run-in with Vice President Gore’s Secret Service detail. Check out Brannon’s musings, and the interactive gallery of the Field Day history by clicking on the image below.

Prove us wrong with your suggestion in the comment field at the bottom of the page.

1,000-Foot Proposed No-Spray Buffer Rule: What It’d Mean in Practice

We’ve already given Richard Brain and Dan Perkins a hard time about their football-throwing skills (Richard’s excuse is that he is a Canuck who only played hockey as a youth) …But this video examines an important issue that could negatively impact farmers, farm equipment dealers and sprayer manufacturers. This YouTube Video examines how impractical a 1,000-foot no spray buffer would be with farmer interviews on how it’ll unwind decades of advances in conservation. This complements an an earlier Best of the Web item that sacrificed a wide wedding dress to show the true reality of spray drift in a video to complement their peer-reviewed studies.

Next Time Your Used Combine Inventories Get Too High ... Consider This
