Industry Outlook: How Does Your Dealership Stack Up?
The equipment dealer industry continues to experience consolidation, as dealer organizations grow through mergers and acquisitions. As dealers approach these transactions, there is often significant focus on the “deal,” led by a small team of executives who manage due diligence, deal negotiation, deal execution and closing. However, there is often a lack of focus or resources on the integration effort which follows. In reality, the integration effort is cross-functional and complex, involving a one-time transition of people, processes, systems, real estate, facilities, equipment, inventory, customers, vendors, contracts, marketing, training, etc.
Effective integration can ensure a smooth transition from seller to buyer (or merged partners), starting with continuity of sales and operations post-close, which provides a solid foundation for growth. However, without effective integration planning and execution, buyers often experience an unexpected decrease in performance post-close, which can result in missed financial targets or synergy plans.
In this webinar, Brian Coffman, Managing Director and Owner of Broadventure, provides an overview of the M&A integration process and offers a proven approach to planning and managing these initiatives. He provides practical tips to get started on an effective integration project, answers questions from participants and provides information about how to get additional support, if interested.
