As of Sunday, Oct. 21, 49% of U.S. corn had been harvested and 53% of soybeans, according to USDA’s latest Crop Progress report. In some cases, rain has hampered harvest. No appreciable change was noted in the crops’ overall condition from the previous week. Some 68% of corn is reported to be in “good” and “excellent” condition vs. 68% the previous week. For soybeans, 66% is rated as “good” and “excellent” compared to the same percentage a week earlier.
