Amity's Precision Shank Drill has cutting coulters, precision placement openers, disk levelers and a wide pneumatic packer tire that are all mounted to an independent linkage. This linkage removes depth control issues of the rigid frame shank unit while retaining all of the agronomic benefits of the ground engaging components listed above.

The Drill’s disc levelers ensure that soil from the shank is placed back in front of the packer tire regardless of operating speed, ensuring consistent seed depth across the field. To minimize the amount of regular service to the machine, the Drill's linkage is designed with greaseless bushings on all the pivot points. This eliminates daily maintenance required on the drill, keeping the producer seeding in the field.
