USDA is reporting that as of Nov. 5, 90% of the U.S. soybean crop had been harvested. A year ago, 92% was in the bin by this date. The 5-year average is 91%. But wet weather continues to hamper farmers’ efforts to get their corn harvested. As of this past Sunday, 70% of corn acres was out of the field. This compares with 84% last year and the 5-year average of 83%.
