Update — May 13, 2016 at 12:45 p.m. CDT: KDLT News reports that the South Dakota Fire Marshal's Office says it cannot determine the source of a fire that destroyed Titan Machinery in the northeastern South Dakota town of Milbank, but the cause does not appear suspicious.

Officials say the May 4 blaze involved multiple explosions inside the building and ash from the fire traveled as far as a mile. No injuries were reported.

South Dakota Department of Public Safety spokesman Tony Mangan says that the Fire Marshal's Office completed its investigation but investigators cannot determine the source of the fire. Mangan says the cause does not appear suspicious.



May 5, 2016 — The Bismarck Tribune reports a fire destroyed a Titan Machinery building in the northeastern South Dakota town of Milbank on May 4, 2016.

The blaze was reported about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police Chief Boyd Van Voren says there were multiple explosions inside the building, and ash from the fire traveled as far as a mile. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not immediately determined.

Titan Machinery is a dealer of agricultural and construction equipment. The company is based in West Fargo, N.D.
