DuPon'ts cellulosic ethanol facility in Nevada, Iowa, is on track to open on Friday, Oct. 30, reports IHS Chemical Week. Using corn stover harvested within a 30 mile radius of the facility, the plant is expected to product approximately 30 million gallons of cellulosic ethanol per year. Some of the cellulosic ethanol produced at the plant will be used in a laundry detergent through a partnership with Procter & Gamble and DuPont, according to the report.

Construction began in 2012, however planning and preparation for biorefinery started in the early 2000s.
