The head of the union for the 850 workers at CNH Industrial's equipment plant in Mount Pleasant, Wisc., confirmed to the Racine Journal Times that the company will put 150 employees on indefinite layoff December 1.
CNH Industrial, which makes agricultural equipment at the factory, is shutting down second-shift tractor production and reducing production as the industry faces a slowdown, said Jeff Vassh, president of the United Auto Workers Local 180.
