After years of speculation about when it would make a serious move into the North American tractor market, it appears that Claas is finally ready to jump in with both feet with the Xerion.
The Xerion line of tractors has been available in Europe since the 1980s. But during its Lexion Adventures in the Field event July 16-17 in Omaha, Neb., the company gave editors an exclusive sneak peak at its new Xerion tractor that has been designed specifically for the North American market.
Claas says it will introduce the tractor to the rest of the industry in late August during the Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa, and later at Husker Harvest Days in Nebraska.
In addition to the quick look at the new North American Xerion tractor, the Claas event also introduced new models newest models of its Jaguar forage harvester and Lexion combines.
