Orthman kicked off its first annual Orthman Expo on July 23 in Kearney, Neb.
The 2-day event showcased the company’s product lineup for model year 2015, which included the first 2 models of Orthman Nutrient Placement equipment, new residue management tools, the latest updates and options to the 1tRIPr strip-till machine — including new high capacities and Smart Implement steering — as well as new configurations and options to the Deere-Orthman performance-stacked DR planters.
Created to provide a comfortable environment for dealers and producers to learn more about the products and the company, Orthman president John McCoy had one message he hoped attendees would take away from the event.
“You need to leave here with confidence,” he said. “Confidence that we’ve done our job, confidence that in the world today, there’s nobody on the planet that has more acres under precision tillage than we have.
“Confidence that of those acres, we have been involved in more pragmatic issues, more soil conditions, than anybody on the planet. Confidence that we’ll take that information, as we’re learning at a much faster pace than any of our competition, and we will continue to evolve our products through that.”
