AGCO reported net sales of approximately $2.2 billion for the third quarter of 2014, a decrease of approximately 13.0% compared to net sales of approximately $2.5 billion for the third quarter of 2013.

Fueled in part by its growing North American sales, the Kuhn Group reported that, while its net sales in 2013 grew by 5% vs. the previous year, its profits rose by nearly 25% and profit margins increased by 2.5%.

Net sales for the first quarter of 2014 were $171.2 million compared to net sales of $158.4 million for the first quarter of 2013, an increase of 8%.

Net sales for the first quarter were $158.4 million compared to net sales of $155.9 million for the first quarter of 2012, an increase of 2%.

Dominique Bamas, CEO stated: "The pause in Q1 revenue resulted from the natural flow of the vacuum in order intake recorded in the third quarter of 2012. It's not representative of current demand which continues to be strong, although remaining volatile. Excluding the impact of the termination of the Toyota contract at the end of 2012 in France, two of our three divisions continued to grow as compared to the first quarter of 2012. So instead of only focusing on revenue, we're happily focusing on our first quarter order intake, which reached its highest level in a year, and we're organizing ourselves accordingly.

In its February/March 2013 presentation to investors, Deere & Co. drew attention to the growing importance of the worldwide market for its equipment. According to Deere, its equipment sales outside the U.S. and Canada in fiscal year 2012 were over four times the level it saw in fiscal year 2000.

Net income attributable to Deere & Company was $681.1 million, or $1.81 per share, for the first quarter ended January 31, compared with $649.7 million, or $1.65 per share, for the same period last year.
