Final results from Farm Equipment's 2015 Dealer Business Outlook & Trends survey indicates that equipment early orders are down compared to what North American farm equipment dealers have seen over the past few years.
Depending on the country and size of the equipment, global sales of farm machinery through much of the first half of the year are best characterized as uneven.
Prices being paid for farmland across Illinois have seen a softening of from 2.0 percent to 4.1 percent according to the Midyear Land Values Snapshot Survey done by the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
In addition to significantly increasing crop yields, a new report from USDA suggests that intensifying land use could be another way to meet the rapidly expanding demand for ag commodities.
The results from an annual survey of U.S. no-till farmers reveals that despite a downturn in grain prices and some challenging springtime weather, 2013 produced the highest crop yields in several years.

For the second month in a row, North American farm equipment dealers are reporting that manufacturers have become more aggressive with incentives to increase machinery sales.
While the unpredictability of commodity prices in the past year have given some cause for concern, the fact remains U.S. agricultural fundamentals continue to support the long-term health of the industry.
