November 29, 2013 — A southwestern Ontario chain of Case IH and New Holland ag equipment dealerships has expanded its reach with a Case IH dealership in a town where it already sells the New Holland line.

Delta Power Equipment, which operates Case IH dealerships at Exeter, Forest and Seaforth, Ont., and New Holland shops at Essex and Watford, has bought Case IH dealer Jacobs Farm Equipment of Essex for an undisclosed sum.

"We already have a number of customers in the region because of our New Holland location and we see this as an opportunity to provide even more options to farmers in the region by carrying on the strong legacy of Case IH in the area," Delta Power CEO Josie Sisler said in a release.

The Jacobs facility, which until now was family-owned and operated in Essex for 56 years, will remain open under the Jacobs name and will carry Case IH, Kubota and Club Car lines, the new owner said.

Delta will also keep its Essex New Holland facility as a separate location, the company added.

Case IH and New Holland are both owned by Amsterdam-based CNH Industrial and have had the same parent since 1999. The parent firm has said in the past that the two dealer networks are kept separate as the two brands cater to significantly different farmer clientele.

With a fourth Case IH dealership, Delta Power has an advantage over any similar company without an established Case IH history, Sisler said.

"I think our experience in providing customers with the equipment and service they want is going to help us make our new Essex dealership successful as well."
