Farmers and ranchers planning to attend the 2013 Nebraska Power Farming Show can expect more booths, more exhibitors and more year-end buying specials than can be found at any indoor farm show west of the Mississippi.
Now in its seventh year, the Nebraska Power Farming Show is the second largest indoor farm show in the United States. This year’s show — which takes place December 10-12 at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln — will feature 9.2 acres (400,000 sq.ft) of indoor displays. The show is once again at maximum capacity, with nearly 1,000 ag-related exhibitors set to showcase new ag services and products at close to 2,300 booths spread out across five adjoining buildings.
“Each year we add more and more space, thinking there’s no way we can possibly fill it all. Sure enough, exhibitors race to sign up for space and we’re right back at full capacity again,” said Will Rogers, co-director of the Nebraska Power Farming Show.
More space, exhibitors and booths mean more year-end buying specials for attendees. According to Rogers, the show’s timing in early December makes it a favorite among farmers and ranchers who are looking to make year-end tax-planning purchases or pre-book for the upcoming spring. Exhibitors promote the show specials they will have beforehand in the show program, enabling attendees to arrive with deals they want to make already in mind.
“Folks travel from all across the region to take advantage of these big year-end buying specials,” said Rogers. “I’m always amazed by how many people come from states like Iowa, Kansas and Missouri.
Just goes to show it doesn’t matter where you’re from. A good deal is a good deal, and this is the show that has more deals than any. That’s why so many folks come to Lincoln for the show.”
