During the 2013 Farm Progress Show, Challenger, a worldwide brand of AGCO, is expanded its legendary track tractor offerings by unveiling the all-new Challenger MT700E Series track tractors. Available in three models ranging from 350 to 400 engine HP, these rugged and reliable tractors are designed to meet the demanding, high-productivity needs of today's progressive growers.
Our customers value efficiency, says Conor Bergin, product marketing manager, High Horsepower Tractors. They're looking for a tractor that can make short work of high-horsepower tasks while providing maximum fuel economy and minimal field compaction. Our new Challenger E Series and the three new MT700E track tractors deliver optimum power transfer, outstanding fuel efficiency, and best-in-class traction and flotation with a smooth, comfortable ride.
Between its powerful new AGCO POWERTM98 diesel engine, industry-exclusive Mobil-tracTMundercarriage system, redesigned hydraulics, and rugged drawbar and three-point hitch, the MT700E Series delivers unparalleled performance. Topped with a Pinnacle View cab, these new tractors put operators in the optimum position for longer, more productive workdays.
AGCO POWER Diesel Engines Optimize Power, Maximize Efficiency
Specifically designed for agricultural applications, the AGCO POWER 98, a 9.8L, seven-cylinder diesel engine hits the power sweet spot with an impressively long torque curve and high torque rise at low RPMs. By eliminating the need to downshift, operators work more efficiently with less fuel consumption.
AGCO POWER engines help operators accomplish more work per gallon of fuel, says Bergin. That makes the MT700E Series a top choice for today's growers.
The seven-cylinder design is backed by five years of rigorous field testing and features common components across the AGCO POWER family engine line and a 500-hour engine service interval with flexible oil requirements to simplify routine maintenance.
Challenger Mobil-trac provides unmatched traction, reduces compaction
The industry-exclusive Challenger Mobil-trac system puts more power to the ground with a patented undercarriage design. In addition, oscillating mid-wheels outperform rigid competitive track designs, leaving a lighter footprint to reduce compaction in the field while keeping operators moving even under challenging field conditions.
Field compaction can quickly limit yield potential, explains Bergin. The unique Mobil-trac design improves flotation. Growers benefit from better stands, a more profitable harvest and the smoothest ride in the industry.”
The Mobil-trac system also offers the industrys widest array of track offerings with easy-to-adjust gauge and tension settings, adapting easily to any application. The simple, maintenance-free design adds to the overall efficiency of the MT700E Series.
Designed for Productive Workdays
The MT700E Series features the distinctive Pinnacle View cab. Perfectly positioned at the center of the tractor, operators benefit from an unmatched, 360 degrees of visibility. Clear sight lines to the tracks, drawbar and implements reduce operator strain, and a powerful lighting package allows work to continue long into the night.
The spacious cab interior is loaded with productivity-boosting features, all designed with operator comfort in mind. Intuitive controls, several seating options to choose from, and an ergonomic layout make for comfortable, attentive operators, no matter how many hours they clock in a day.
This new Challenger E Series expands to three models with the MT755E (350 HP), the MT765E (375 HP) and the MT775E (400 HP).
All Challenger track tractors, including the new MT700E Series, are built with pride by the experienced manufacturing team in Jackson, Minn. In addition, these tractors are supported by a dealer network that provides unparalleled support and parts availability to minimize downtime.
The Challenger MT700E Series track tractors are being introduced first in North America. They are now on display at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, Ill., and also will be shown at Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island, Neb.
