HUTCHINSON, Kan., October 31, 2012 — KUHN Krause, Inc. is pleased to announce the grand opening of its previously announced expanded manufacturing facilities at its manufacturing location in Hutchinson, Kansas, USA.
Construction ground breaking for the high-bay 70,000 square foot building expansion began in April, 2012 and was recently completed. With a total cost of the construction project, along with related new machinery near $5.0 million, this expansion complements other investments made in 2011 at KUHN Krause, Inc. and sets the stage for additional investments by the KUHN Group in 2013 and beyond to continue manufacturing high-quality agricultural equipment products in Hutchinson, KS.
The expansion will improve manufacturing capacity, efficiency and quality with new, state-of- the-art technology and use of lean manufacturing strategies. Production is being ramped up with the gradual transfer and new installation of manufacturing and storage/handling equipment in this new facility. A dedication ceremony was held with employees and local dignitaries and guests to recognize the investment and celebrate this milestone.
