Presently with eight John Deere locations, Tractor Central will add locations in Westby and West Salem, Wis., for a total of 10 locations, effective November 1, according to Agri-View, the agricultural publication based in Madison, Wis.
Based in Eau Claire, Tractor Central reached an agreement with Frontier Ag and Turf of New Richmond, to purchase the Frontier Ag and Turf locations in Westby and West Salem. Tractor Central currently has dealerships in Arcadia, Granton, Mondovi, Durand, Cameron, Chippewa Falls, Menomonie and Sheldon.
“No locations will be closing, and no jobs have been lost due to this acquisition,” according to Gene Schlosser, marketing manager for Tractor Central. “Our goal is to make this transition as seamless as possible, with only positive effects to our customers and their needs. All current agricultural product lines will remain, and the John Deere Self-Propelled Forage and Sprayer lines will be added. All current employees are being asked to join the Tractor Central Team and continue serving their customer friends. The locations will remain open with full sales and service support during the transition.”
Greg Christenson of Frontier Ag and Turf says, “We (Frontier Ag and Turf) have been honored to serve the customers in West Salem and Westby for over a decade. We value the relationships that have been built and wish everyone continued success moving forward. We will continue to focus on serving customers and growing our business in New Richmond, Turtle Lake, Osceola (in Wisconsin) Hastings, Rosemount, and Cannon Falls (in Minnesota). The sale allows Frontier to focus its resources closer to its home base.” Frontier Ag and Turf will have a used equipment auction on October 24 at the West Salem location.
