After doing successful business for more than 10 years in Canada, Lemken, based in Germany, has established a sales and marketing company in the U.S. named Lemken USA Inc. Lemken USA has hired Jim Balstad of West Fargo, N.D. as vice president sales and marketing to lead the U.S. sales efforts. Balstad has many years of experience in tillage and has been in the business for more than 20 years in various sales and marketing positions.
Cord Diekmann from the home office in Germany will relocate to Boise, Idaho and cover the Western U.S. sales area. Lemken has been active in the U.S. market for the past two years and has set up Pioneer Equipment Group with stores in Idaho, California and Texas as its first dealer in the U.S. The company plans to establish a dealer network throughout the U.S. offering sales, parts and service.
Lemken is a seventh generation family-owned company in business for over 230 years. The company has a yearly turnover of $345 million with over 1,000 employees worldwide. The company export ratio is 70% of its total output. The AgroVision Company sells machinery worldwide in over 50 countries producing a high quality line of farm machinery for tillage, seeding, and plant protection in large sizes. The Lemken Rubin and Heliodor compact discs are the world market leader with more than 15,000 units sold in the last 10 years. In addition the new developed Karat heavy-duty Chisel Plow with quick change shank system will be the first products introduced to the U.S. market.
The machines are available for tractors from 130–600 horsepower.
