Lessiter Publications, the publisher of Farm Equipment, Farm Catalog, No-Till Farmer, Ag Equipment Intelligence and the host of the 20th Annual National No-Tillage Conference, has announced the January 2012 launch of a new e-publication, PRECISION FARMING DEALER.
The e-publication's content will focus solely on the subject from a dealer and reseller's point of view. Four exclusive sponsors — Agri-Trend, Leica Geosystems, Raven Industries and Topcon Precision Agriculture — have signed on to support the knowledge enhancement of the dealer via this new e-publication. PRECISION FARMING DEALER will be distributed to qualified opt-in recipients twice per month.
Produced by the editors of Farm Equipment, the e-publication's mission is "To be the dealer's informational clearinghouse on precision farming technologies and their application, as well as how to market, sell and service for increased customer value." Managing Editor Chad Elmore, who handles the GPS & Precision Farming "beat" at Lessiter Publications, will be the lead editor on PRECISION FARMING DEALER.
"After studying the concept for nearly a year, our editorial staff concluded that the time is right to fill the informational void that many dealerships say exist as they look to grow their sales and service expertise in precision farming," says Dave Kanicki, executive editor.
"Despite a case where farmers tend to be much farther ahead in knowledge of such technologies, equipment dealers report that precision farming will once again be the most bullish product category in 2012," he says. "Our primary research also shows that 19.9% of dealers plan to hire precision farming specialists in 2012 and they are looking for help in how best to integrate and structure this segment within their dealerships."
PRECISION FARMING DEALER will debut to an opt-in dealer/reseller universe in January on the firm's proprietary e-media platform that utilizes the latest in audio, video and social media technologies. To receive the FREE publication, sign in and register here.
