Kuhn Group announces the completion of the acquisition of Krause Corp., located in Hutchinson, Kan.
The announcement follows a press release from March 24, 2011 (click here), announcing the acquisition and the key reasons supporting the strategic decision by Kuhn Group.
The closing of this transaction took place yesterday in Hutchinson, and the name of the corporation is now Kuhn Krause Inc.
Kuhn Krause will operate as a self-standing company of Kuhn Group, and will provide Kuhn with a new platform for the design and manufacturing of tillage equipment and grain drills in North America.
Mr. Thierry Krier, president and CEO of Kuhn North America Inc., will serve as CEO of the new company. Keith Whitaker will serve as president. Whitaker previously served Krause Corp. as vice president of sales and marketing for six years. Whitaker holds degrees in engineering and an MBA, and brings 25 years of industry experience to the role.
The new company will continue to be led by the prior Krause Corp. management team and all Krause employees, instrumental in the company’s past performance, have been retained. Operations will stay in Hutchinson.
