Two of Canada’s largest agricultural manufacturers have entered into a strategic global alliance. Buhler Industries Inc. (TSX: BUI), manufacturer of Versatile® tractors and self-propelled sprayers and the Farm King line of farm equipment including grain handling, application equipment and hay tools, has signed an agreement with Westeel, one of Canada’s foremost manufacturers of steel storage products.
“Buhler Industries and Westeel are recognized for manufacturing high quality products. The potential of this alliance is huge,” says Dmitry Lyubimov, president of Buhler Industries. “This agreement will be mutually beneficial for both companies, our shareholders and employees, but also for the farmers that we serve around the world.”
In the first phase of the alliance, Buhler Industries will manufacture a Westeel-branded grain handling line for distribution through the Westeel distribution network in Canada, creating a total grain handling solution. The line will include grain augers, grain vacs and grain cleaners.
Further information on the alliance and future plans will be released at a later date. Buhler Industries Inc. (TSX: BUI) designs, manufactures and distributes agricultural equipment. The products are marketed under the brand names Versatile® and Farm King.
