Kongskilde is pleased to announce the acquisition of PROGRESSIVE FARM EQUIPMENT INC. of Hudson Illinois; this manufacturer is a specialist in the conservation tillage technology, and holds several patents for the no till, semi till and strip till technologies: also, progressive farm equipment is a leader in the direct side dressing of crops with fertilizer (dry and liquid) and NH3 the very economical way.  The technology of Progressive Farm equipment will compliment and expands Kongskilde present soil preparation equipment lines.

This acquisition with strategically located modern manufacturing plant, on 20 acres of land, along with the present  leader Mr. Richard Follmer staying on in the R & D Dept, and a large new warehouse (being built soon) will  permit Kongskilde to consolidate all its North American operations (industry, grain, soil equipment)  in one location in Hudson Illinois.

In the foreseeable future our present distribution centers in Bloomington Illinois and Strathroy Ontario will be moved to this new modern facility which will allow us to make much better use of inventories and human resources.  Although we are consolidating our inventory to one location we will continue to have some of our very knowledgeable staff located in Canada to be able to offer our continued good support expected from Kongskilde dealers and farmers. In the coming months we will also be introducing a new spare and wearing parts program and a customer delivery system, again to further strengthen our support of our Dealers and Farmers.
