Kongskilde Industries Inc located in Bloomington, IL is pleased to announce the purchase of Progressive Farm Products located near Normal, IL.
Kongskilde Industries Inc is a part of the Global Kongskilde group-based in Denmark, and has been responsible for sales of Kongskilde Products for Industrial recycling and pneumatic conveying equipment for the print, plastics and packaging industries. Kongskilde also specializes in grain conveying and cleaning equipment, and livestock products for disease control, throughout North America. Presently Kongskilde’s Soil Preparation equipment has been marketed in North America via Kongskilde Limited located in Strathroy, Ontario.
Progressive Farm Products has built a solid reputation within the fertilizer application and strip tillage equipment area through out the United States and also some parts of Eastern Europe. This has been largely due to Progressive Farm Product’s founder, Richard Follmer and his innovative and leading equipment designs. These designs have resulted in several patents and patent applications being granted. Richard will remain as an integral part of Kongskilde’s R & D staff as part of the acquisition. With this acquisition, Kongskilde will now be able to provide a complete range of fertilizer application and soil preparation equipment from one source.
With this announcement we will be consolidating our North American activities into one location at the current Progressive Farm Products site. The present facility will be enlarged to handle the combined activities of the 3 current locations.
This facility will also give Kongskilde a much-need production facility for our current soil preparation equipment as well as continued production of the Progressive fertilizer application equipment and strip tillage product program. The Progressive Farm Products will continue to be marketed under this brand name and offered via Kongskilde’s extensive dealer network throughout North America and also via our sister Companies in Europe and South Africa.
