Jenner Ag is excited to announce the recipients of the 2024 Jenner Ag Furthering Ag Education Scholarship, which awarded two $5,000 scholarships to support academic and professional journeys in agriculture.

"Over a decade ago, we launched our scholarship program to empower young adults to pursue their ambitions. This year, we’ve expanded our efforts, offering even greater support to help them reach their full potential," says Steve Jones, CEO of Jenner Ag.

"Watching them step into their roles within the industry isn't just rewarding; it's proof of agriculture's bright future—a future where young minds are revitalizing this industry and transforming it in ways beyond what we could have ever imagined."

This year’s winners are Isaac Pohl of Indiana and Katrina Korsmeyer of Illinois.

Isaac Pohl of Indiana, a student at Murray State University, is pursuing a dual major in agriculture and computer science. Combining his love for agriculture with cutting-edge technology, Isaac aspires to start his own ag-tech company.

Isaac's entrepreneurial journey began in 2015 when he launched a backyard pumpkin patch, and by 2020, he had expanded operations through a business partnership, doubling their production to 3 acres. Isaac has also been actively involved in FFA, 4-H and the Vanderburgh County Livestock Club, as well as various leadership roles and community projects. His drive to innovate through technology and agriculture highlights his commitment to shaping the future of the industry.

Katrina Korsmeyer of Illinois is majoring in agricultural education at Illinois State University, with her sights set on becoming a teacher. Raised on a family farm and active in FFA, she says her passion for farming is deeply rooted in her experiences.

Katrina is eager to pass on her knowledge to future generations, helping students understand agriculture's critical role in everyday life. Her background provides her with unique insights that will enrich her teaching and inspire her students to embrace the values of farming and agriculture.
