Claas Farmpoint, a division of global farm machinery manufacturer Claas is expanding into the Midwest with the opening of a new dealership in Le Mars, Iowa. The new dealership opening July 15 will provide the same mobile maintenance and parts service for forage harvester, tractors, balers and other hay and forage equipment that it launched in 2023 in two other locations in Indiana and Kentucky.
“Our new Claas Farmpoint dealership will serve as the hub for the mobile service our customers elsewhere in the U.S. and around the world have come to trust in enabling them to become more efficient in the field, especially at key times like planting and harvest,” said Complex Manager for Claas Farmpoint in Iowa, Preston Huser. “Between our mobile service technicians and parts runners, the dealership will be able to provide service to many more area farmers than a conventional dealership. Northwest Iowa farmers now have a new, more efficient service and maintenance choice with Claas Farmpoint.”
Located in Plymouth County in northwest Iowa, Le Mars is a thriving ag community known for its rich farming heritage and dedication to innovation. The latest U.S. Department of Agriculture Census of Agriculture shows Claas Farmpoint’s expansion into the area comes at a good time; though the Le Mars Claas Farmpoint dealership will provide service to customers throughout northwest Iowa, Plymouth County alone is home to more than 1,280 farms encompassing more than 544,000 acres, both increases in the last five years.
The Claas Farmpoint dealership model relies less on a brick-and-mortar service location and more on mobile service and parts delivery that stretches routine service and maintenance as far as 100 miles from its headquarters. Mobile service technicians are strategically placed within the dealership’s service area to minimize farmers’ downtime in the field.
“We are excited to establish a presence in Le Mars and contribute to the success of the local & agricultural community,” Huser added. “Our new dealership will provide farmers in the regionwith unparalleled access to our industry-leading machinery and services, ensuring that they have the tools and support they need to thrive in today’s competitive market.”
The new Claas Farmpoint dealership represents a major investment in the region’s farmers, specifically the region’s dairy and beef producers. The Le Mars dealership will service ARION tractors, XERION tractors, AXION tractors and JAGUAR forage harvesters.
The new Claas Farmpoint dealership in Le Mars, Iowa, joins existing dealerships in Madisonville, Ky., and Bunker Hill, Ind. The Le Mars location officially opens on July 15.
