Omaha, Neb. — Last month, Ohio CAT indicated their intent to divest their Ohio Ag business unit in a letter sent to their customers, effectively exiting the agriculture equipment business by January 1, 2025. This may have come as a surprise to their customer base, but CLAAS has been working diligently to ensure not only short-term parts and service support but also to implement a strong full line dealer network in Ohio.
“Our number-one priority is to make sure our impacted combine customers maintain support they need for the upcoming harvest,” explained Senior Vice President of CLAAS Americas Region, Eric Raby. “Working with existing CLAAS dealers in the area, we’ve quickly established a service and parts network designed to support our combine customers this harvest season and into the future.”
There are five existing CLAAS dealers that will split coverage within the state. These are dealers that have sold and serviced CLAAS products including tractors and forage harvesters for years. We look forward to supporting the Ohio farmer with CLAAS full line dealers, a cornerstone of the CLAAS distribution strategy. The network of dealers supporting Ohio farmers with CLAAS combines are as follows:
- Burnips Equipment, Hudson, MI: 517-448-2071
- K & L Tractor Sales, Fort Recovery, OH: 419-375-2330
- Foltz Ag Enterprises, Lancaster, OH: 740-808-8600
- Reberland Equipment, Apple Creek, OH: 330-698-5883
- Monroe Tractor, Grove City, PA: 724-264-4403
According to Raby, “We have five excellent dealers who are anxious to grow in Ohio. CLAAS is here for our customers. I believe this transition will lead to even better coverage and a greater customer experience in the future.”
