Ascension Equipment, a single-store dealer in Gonzales, La., announced Jan. 18 that John Deere had pulled its line from the store. The press release stated Ascension Equipment had been the last John Deere and Kubota dealer in the U.S. and has been in business for over 40 years.

A portion of the press release stated the following:

Effective January 31st, we will no longer be considered a John Deere dealer. We have enjoyed having an awesome relationship with our John Deere customers but John Deere has decided to not continue with single-store dealerships and therefore will be pulling the line from us.

In addition to Kubota, Ascension Equipment also carries Grasshopper, Toro Construction, Woods, Bush Hog, Land Pride and Lane Shark.
