Farm Equipment editors encounter a variety of articles, social media posts, podcasts and videos that offer a unique look at various aspects of our great farm machinery industry. Here is our favorite content from the past week from across the web:

Proven in the most demanding of ag conditions, CLEANFIX reversible fans provide the most efficient diesel engine cooling and radiator cleaning available. The multi-patented reversing fan technology maintains machine cooling as needed and, when required, provides the strongest blowout of dust and debris -- without halting or slowing operations.
Killing 200,000 Weeds Per Hour
In February, agricultural robotics company Carbon Robotics unveiled its 2022 LaserWeeder implement, a cost-effective weed control solution for large-scale specialty row crops, according to a press release by the company.
It consists of an autonomous, laserweeding pull-behind robot that seamlessly attaches to the back of tractors to chop off 200,000 weeds per hour with lasers. This is 100,000 more than when it was first introduced in 2021.
The new machine features 30 industrial CO2 lasers, more than 3 times the lasers in Carbon Robotics’ self-driving Autonomous LaserWeeder. Growers who use the device are seeing up to 80% savings in weed management costs, with a break-even period of two to three years.
Watch Out for Ghosts!
With Halloween just a few days away, you never know what sort of spooks might be around every corner! One Grossenburg Implement employee at their Winner, S.D., store caught a ghost passing by the headquarters early one morning.
GHOSTENBURG IMPLEMENT?

One of our valued team members at our Winner, SD location got spooked on the way into the office today when there appeared to be a "GHOST" passing by the front of our headquarters. A quick photo was snapped and we're not sure what to make of the situation. pic.twitter.com/QuGivckc9q
A Win for Purdue University (the Marching Band, that is)
Purdue came up short on the gridiron at Wisconsin last Saturday, but we need to give them props for their marching band’s “ode to farming” during the half-time show on October 15. Land O Lakes partnered with Purdue and the Big Ten to launch their new campaign, “Farmers are Incredible.” They band performed “Butter” by boyband BTS, Hoe-Down (the theme music from the beef commercials), Here’s to the Farmers, and others.

Inaugural Most Valuable Dealership: 10 Years of Change in Precision
The technology has changed, the names have changed, the people have changed (and our video and audio recording skills have too)… Here, we take you back to the first Most Valuable Dealership that we reported on 10 years ago this month. Iowa’s Brokaw Supply is now part of the 6-location, independent Ag Solutions Group (also in Minnesota, Missouri and Nebraska), and Craig Harthoorn is now top executive at H&S Manufacturing. The 10-year anniversary edition of Precision Farming Dealer reminds us of how fast change is taking place. Come to the 2023 Precision Dealer Summit to learn from 2022’s MVD, along with several other MVD Alumni presenting in St. Louis.
Worst of the Week (New Product Catches Fire)
During the Equip Expo last week in Louisville, a DeWalt electric zero-turn mower caught fire in the demo area. Lawn care Youtuber Copper Creek Cuts Lawn Care caught some footage of the fire. The show reported that while the demo area needed to be shut down for the day for safety reasons, no injuries were reported.
Product of the Week: Black Eagle Ag Solutions Strip Till Unit
Drawing upon years of strip-till experience, Black Eagle Ag Solutions has developed their new strip-till unit which debuted at the 2022 Farm Progress Show. Designed with the farmer's needs in mind, this strip-tillage unit hopes to innovate on the existing market row units by including air adjustable row cleaners accessible from the cab and making setting the machine as easy as possible.
