Dealership of the Year Celebrates 100 Years, Gets Radio Time
On July 23, Riechmann Bros., a 4-store John Deere dealership based in Okawville, Ill., celebrated its 100th anniversary with a party for its customers and community. During a radio interview with Rhiannon Branch of Brownfield, Bill Riechmann Jr. shared a bit about the history of the dealership, and recently being named the 2022 Farm Equipment Dealership of the Year.

Many dealers know the late Scot Stanton, who owned/operated the 3-store Stanton Tractor (John Deere) dealer group in Connecticut and served on the board of the Northeast Equipment Dealers Assn. until his death in 2020. Here, Chrissy Wozniak interviews Scot’s daughter Amanda Stanton, former CEO of Stanton Tractor, purchased by United Ag & Turf. This 32-minute interview released on July 5 provides interesting insight into the dealer world, including purity pressures.
An Inside Look of Combine Production at Deere's Harvester Works
YouTube channel Automotive garage got an inside look at Deere's combine manufacturing at the Harvester Works in East Moline, Ill. At about 90 acres under roof, Automotive garage says it is the largest, most modern combine manufacturing facility in the world.
Transitioning to a New Top Executive
We discovered this 8-minute clip — from the very first Dealership Minds Summit in 2013 — by happenstance this week. Now retired himself, co-owner Mark Foster detailed the process followed in determining the best course of action for the multi-store group as Ron Birkey retired from the company, at the time only the 3rd president in the firm’s 60-year history.
