In an email from an unnamed source at a multinational ag equipment manufacturer, Farm Equipment/Ag Equipment Intelligence editors were made aware that Agritechnica staff is discussing the potential cancellation of the show with large exhibitors for next year's show from Feb. 27-March 5, 2022, in Hanover Germany. Agritechnica had been moved to the 2022 dates after originally being planned for Nov. 14-20, 2021.
It was said the show was anticipated to be cancelled based on rising COVID cases in Europe, coupled with increased testing and travel requirements associated with the pandemic.
A separate Dec. 10, 2021, report from TyrePress also stated the event may be cancelled.
Farm Equipment/Ag Equipment Intelligence editors will update this story as events occur. No official announcement has been made by Agritechnica at the time of this report.

Agritechnica 2022: DLG is preparing cancellation
Rumor had it for a while, now it is almost official: Agritechnica will likely not be happening as an in-person event even during the new date in February/March 2022.
DLG Service GmbH, organisers of Agritechnica, are currently in negotiations with most exhibitors about the financial consequences of a cancellation. This is evident from information available to traction. The regional government in Hanover has released harsher restrictions on Thursday (December 9) which may allow Agritechnica to take place normally, as a very small event (max. 30% of capacity, max. 5,000 people) or not at all, depending on covid case numbers early next year.
In case of a cancellation forced by a pandemic, DLG would have to pay 75% of paid fees back to the exhibitors. They are trying to get as many of the to accept a lower amount, but retain a large proportion of the fees for Agritechnica 2023. However, many exhibitors have lost believe in an „old fashioned“ Agritechnica even in 2023.
DLG have announced they will update the press about Agritechnica 2022 on monday, December 13.
