In January 1944, Ralph Sydenstricker founded Sydenstricker Implement in Paris, Mo. Ralph got his start in the farm equipment business working as a technician for a tractor dealer near Fulton, Mo. Prior to starting a business of his own, Ralph worked as a territory manager for John Deere. In September of 1952, Ralph traded a tractor for his first Black Angus cow and Sydenstricker Angus Farms was launched.
For the first 25 years in business, Sydenstricker Implement sold International Harvester equipment, but then in 1969 took on the John Deere brand. Today, the second — Eddie Sydenstricker — and third generations — Lee Ann and Kim Sydenstricker — are involved in the business.
In 1907, brothers William and Henry Nobbe founded Wm. Nobbe & Co., with the main revenue By 2018, the dealership had grown to 13 John Deere locations in Missouri. In January 2020, Sydenstricker Implement merged with Wm. Nobbe & Co., forming Sydenstricker Nobbe Partners with 26 locations in Illinois and Missouri.
