A spokesman for John Deere says procedures are in place to respond to the coronavirus outbreak in China, where Deere makes farm and construction equipment, according to a story on RadioIowa.com. Ken Golden (who recently announced his requirement) says Deere closed its plants temporarily when the government asked it to do so.
The Centers for Disease Control is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. Cases of COVID-19 also are being reported in a growing number of countries internationally, including the United States.
