Brookfield, Wis. — The 2019 Dealership Minds Summit, held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton East Peoria Riverfront Hotel & Conference Center in Peoria, Ill., July 30-31, drew a sold out crowd of 250 attendees, including 88 different dealerships across 30 states and 4 provinces.
Centered on the theme “360° Sales: Actionable Strategies for the Farm Equipment Dealer,” the program featured 2-days of dealer-to-dealer roundtables sessions, panel presentations, general sessions and intense networking opportunities.
Farm Equipment executive editor Kim Schmidt noted during opening remarks that attendees would head home with actionable ideas to evolve and improve the way they manage the sales efforts of their dealership, and based on feedback she received from those in attendance, the Summit delivered.
“A consistent theme that I’ve heard from attendees during the last two days is that through the informative sessions, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities, they learned new sales management strategies they feel confident in implementing when they get back to the office. I was very pleased to see, and be part of, many thought provoking and idea-sharing conversations over the last two days,” says Schmidt.
Among the highlights of the 2019 Dealership Minds Summit was a town hall style Q&A special presentation with three farm equipment dealers that offered some unique perspectives on their farm equipment business.
Also announced at the Summit was the return of the Precision Farming Dealer Summit, which will be held Jan. 6-7, 2020, at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel in St. Louis, Mo.
From the single-location independent retailer to the multi-store farm equipment dealer, the sales representative to executive management, intense knowledge sharing and networking were in abundance throughout the Summit.
