Turn your equipment dealership’s weak link into a lucrative sales opportunity!
This “Determine Used Equipment Values” report explains how to set the price for selling used equipment correctly, and it’s FREE!
Dear Farm Equipment Dealer,
When it comes to valuing used equipment, there’s no one-stop-shop source, says Trent Hummel, a consultant who specializes in wholegood inventory management and is a trainer with the Western Equipment Dealers Assn.’s Dealer Institute (WEDA) and a former dealer.
It’s no surprise that when it comes to selling used equipment, a dealer’s own past sales results generally impact their valuation decisions the most. However, Farm Equipment and WEDA surveyed dealers to determine what data sources dealers like you are using to determine the valuation of used equipment.
On a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being the most influential), dealers were asked to rank the influence level of 10 data sources.
To help you make the most of used equipment inventory, we’ve compiled the results of our survey into a special E-book download – and we’ve made it absolutely FREE to get it into the hands of as many marketers and used equipment managers as possible in a time when every potential sale counts.

Detailed data from ag equipment dealers like you, compiled by the most trusted name in farm equipment
When farm equipment sales managers are asked what their number one job is, very few say that it’s ‘evaluating used correctly.’ They seem to think it’s selling “stuff.” The salesperson’s number one job is to sell equipment. The sales manager’s number one job is to buy equipment correctly.
This Special Report includes the homework sales managers should do when it comes to researching used equipment values. Hummel says it’s good to see dealers aren’t basing their valuations completely on one source, but also adds that when looking at auction results, such as those posted by Machinery Pete and other such sites it’s important to make note of where the auction was held.

“We all live in different markets, we all carry different product lines, different products within our line, but there are multiple data sources that need to be used,” Hummel says. “Figuring out what the value of used is will be the hardest job you ever do. Evaluating iron is too complicated for a one-stop shop. There’s no bulls-eye or magic formula.”

In fact, this Special Report is designed to help show you the importance of using multiple sources including having discussions with wholesalers, auctioneers, competitors & inline dealerships and of course, your past sales, and more!
