AGCO's Sunflower Till Control System allows operators to monitor and identify changing field conditions before adjusting tillage equipment from the tractor cab. The system helps produce more consistent tillage results across the field resulting in a more uniform seedbed needed to optimize crop emergence and growth. It is available for the SF6830 high-speed rotary finishers, SF1436 disc harrows and SF6631 vertical tillage tools.
On the SF6830, the system monitors the hydraulic level gang on-the-go, allowing adjustments that provide a consistent, level soil output even when ground speed varies. For the SF1436 disc harrows and SF6631 vertical tillage tools, Till Control allows control of the fore and aft frame, as well as the hydraulic lift system.
Till Control also allows communication between the implements and ISO-compliant terminals in tractors, so operators can capture field and life-time implement data for better service planning. Additionally, it has an implement recognition feature which automatically displays the tillage tool name, type and working width on the terminal. Service intervals can be viewed from the cab, plus operators receive notifications when maintenance is due, saving time and money.
