Johnston, Iowa — The Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association (INEDA) is beginning a transition to new leadership. Long time, President/CEO Andy Goodman has announced his retirement from the organization later this year after 25 years with the organization. “Under Andy’s leadership, INEDA currently serves 428 dealers through INEDA’s expertise in government affairs and industry relations, business operations, marketing communications and membership,” said Bob Sinclair, Board President. “We are excited to move into 2019 with new leadership joining an outstanding group of existing employees who can continue on the great legacy that Andy has built.”
With Andy Goodman’s retirement, the Board of Directors has hired Mark Hennessey as the new Chief Operating Officer who will provide leadership, vision, and oversight for the daily operations of INEDA. In addition, the COO will act as the leader for INEDA staff, directing overall expectations and be accountable for quality programs and services. “I am honored to join INEDA following Andy’s leadership that has led the organization to the level it is at today,” said new COO Mark Hennessey. “I look forward to working with the Board and staff to continue growing the Association throughout the Midwest.”
Scott Beach, Vice Chairman of the Board added, “Over the past decade, INEDA has expanded its services to provide the tools, resources and expertise to meet members’ needs to be successful, expand profits and plan for the future. INEDA strives for service excellence every day while adapting to the ever-changing demands in the agriculture and construction industry. The organization is in excellent financial and operational shape and is ready to expand services to more equipment dealers. The next CEO will lead the growth of the organization into the next decade.”
Mark Hennessey was born in Nebraska and grew up in Iowa. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Iowa State University and bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems at Drake University where he also completed his Masters of Business Administration. Hennessey most recently worked for Farm Bureau and ARAG Legal Insurance. Mark brings strong leadership and technology skills to the Association along with extensive experience in growing revenue. He and his wife reside in Panora, Iowa.
INEDA engaged the Hamilton Group of West Des Moines to assist the Board of Directors in their recruitment efforts.
